The South African Chamber of Commerce, UK once again invited members of the SA-UK Trust Network to their Summer Drinks evening. And, fortunately the weather was kind and Investec’s rooftop terrace wonderful. Esteemed journalist, Bruce Whitfield, made an excellent MC.
Masicorp UK, was represented by Alan McKelvey, who painted a superb word picture of their life-changing work in Cape Town’s Masiphumelele township. Karen van Zyl, from Reinsurance Group of America, shared the value to the Reinsurance Group of America in supporting Masicorp – enabling quick and meaningful impact from their support.
Proof of the success of this valued partnership with the South African Chamber of Commerce, UK was Alan McKelvey receiving numerous offers of support – financial and volunteer time.
A huge thanks to Sharon Constançon, outgoing Chairman of the Chamber. The relationship between the SA business community and those supporting the phenomenal work done by thousands of non-profits in southern and South Africa, celebrated at this annual event, is a legacy that Sharon enabled.
